About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain school grounds, including mowing, watering, weeding, and garden care
  • Operate and maintain equipment (e.g. mowers, brush cutters, tractors) in line with WHS guidelines
  • Safely handle and apply chemicals such as fertilisers and insecticides
  • Perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and routine inspections
  • Ensure buildings, infrastructure, and equipment are safe and operational
  • Monitor and report maintenance issues and hazards in accordance with WHS requirements
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with site induction and safety processes
  • Assist with the setup and pack-down of school events and activities

About You

  • Experience in groundskeeping, gardening, or general maintenance
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and manage time effectively
  • Strong organisational skills, including maintaining equipment servicing schedules
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff
  • Understanding of confidentiality and ability to maintain professional boundaries
