About the Role

This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the school grounds are well-maintained, including lawns, sports fields, gardens, and playgrounds.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of school buildings and facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
  • Oversee the setup and maintenance of school events, including outdoor activities and sports events. Handle routine repairs, ensuring that equipment and systems are in working order.
  • Maintain stock of maintenance supplies and order when needed.
  • Collaborate with staff and school leaders to ensure the facilities meet the needs of students and staff.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, facilities management, or similar roles.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for creating a safe and attractive environment for learning.
