About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and aesthetics of our school grounds, including lawns, gardens, and outdoor areas consisting of 1 oval, 4 playgrounds and a multi-purpose court.
  • Facilities Management: Conduct regular inspections and repairs of 15 school buildings, ensuring they are safe and functional. Liasing with contractors, internal and external personnel in the completion of general maintenance tasks.
  • Equipment Oversight: Manage the upkeep of a variety of school equipment and ensure all resources are available and in working order.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to health and safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety relevant regulations. Have a sound knowledge of chemical use and storage.

Requirements:

  • Experience in grounds maintenance and facilities management preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
  • Current blue card.

This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.
