About the Role

  • Perform a range of activities (as per role description) to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard
  • Attend to a range of day-to-day activities including collecting/delivering of mail and parcels; preparing classrooms for examinations; preparing activity/assembly halls; photocopying; moving/arranging furniture and seating; storing and distributing school supplies and stocks; maintaining various registers; stocktaking and recording/engraving of school equipment/assets
  • Support a variety of security duties that involve using and maintaining the school security systems; banking of school funds; locking and unlocking buildings
  • Ensure compliance with WH & S requirements including maintenance of a safe work environment; bring to appropriate attention any safety hazards, manage equipment records, maintain tools and equipment for repair services (as per manufacturers' service manuals), safe storage and handling of chemicals and fuel
  • Attend to/or arrange repairs and maintenance within the school including those which relate to furniture and equipment, locks and windows and school facilities
