About the Role
As the Schools Officer, Facilities, you will play a key role in ensuring the school operates efficiently and is maintained to a high standard. Reporting to the Principal or Business Manager, you will provide facilities care and support across a variety of day-to-day activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing general maintenance and repairs of school facilities and equipment.
- Supporting event preparation, including setting up classrooms and activity spaces.
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment, including waste collection and basic cleaning duties.
- Assisting with security duties, including locking/unlocking buildings and maintaining security systems.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and liaising with staff and external contractors as needed.
This role would suit a proactive and reliable individual who enjoys hands-on work and contributing to a positive school environment.
About You

- Experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow set instructions.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, students, and contractors.
