School Wraparound Care Club Playworker - Carnforth Area
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a friendly and welcoming primary school in the Carnforth area, which is launching a brand-new Wraparound Care Club from September.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to help establish and run this exciting provision, supporting children in a safe, engaging and nurturing environment before and after the school day.
Working Hours
Morning Session: 7:30am - 8:45amAfternoon Session: 3:15pm - 5:45pmThe school would ideally like one person to cover both sessions, although applications from candidates available for either the morning or afternoon sessions will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the day-to-day running of the breakfast and after-school clubPlanning and delivering engaging activities for primary-aged childrenEnsuring the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of all pupils attendingCreating a positive and inclusive environmentAssisting with the successful development of this new school provisionEssential Requirements
Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent childcare qualificationPrevious experience working within a wraparound care setting, breakfast club, after-school club, nursery, childcare or primary school environmentExperience supervising groups of children independentlyA proactive, organised and reliable approachEnhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain oneDesirable
