About the Role:

As the Technical Officer at Nambour State College you play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the school's information and communication technology (ICT) network services. This position is integral to enhancing student learning opportunities by ensuring a robust and efficient ICT platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong technical skills to maintain and troubleshoot the school's ICT infrastructure.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Utilise excellent problem-solving abilities to address and resolve ICT-related challenges promptly.
  • Implement effective solutions that support the educational goals of the school.
  • Provide exceptional support to staff and students, ensuring their ICT needs are met efficiently.
  • Possess outstanding communication skills to explain technical concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the management of ICT services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
  • Commit to continuous learning to stay updated with the latest ICT developments and best practices.
  • Adapt to the dynamic challenges of a school environment, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve common goals.

Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring all responsibilities are handled efficiently.

The Technical Officer reports to the Head of Department IT.

About You:

Experience with Education Queensland is advantageous, providing valuable insight into the specific requirements and standards of the educational environment.
