About Albany Creek State High School:

About the role:

As the School Technical Officer you will assist in managing the operation of a school's information and communication technology (ICT) network services in order to contribute to the enhancement of student learning opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and replacement of ICT equipment.
  • Offering technical support and guidance to staff and students, ensuring alignment with policies and network standards.
  • Assisting with staff training on effectively using ICT tools for educational purposes.
  • Providing prompt and effective support to resolve computing issues.
  • Performing regular maintenance, repairs, and ensuring the functionality of ICT equipment.
  • Maintaining records related to ICT infrastructure and services.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on technical issues.

Our ideal candidate would possess these qualities:

  • Technical expertise in server hardware, networking peripherals, and desktop/laptop systems.
  • Familiarity with Apple iPads and printer support.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of network security, LAN/WAN, and remote support tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and provide client-focused solutions.
