Warwick State High School is a vibrant and inclusive learning community of over 710 students and approx 65 teaching staff.
Founded in 1912, the school is one of the oldest state secondary educational institutions in Queensland. About the Role:
Your work will directly contribute to fostering a Positive School Culture. Supporting student engagement is critical in improving student outcomes, as regular school/class attendance enhances engagement, academic achievement, and overall wellbeing. By monitoring class attendance and ensuring timely follow-ups, you will help create a learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged to succeed.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop strong relationships with students using exceptional interpersonal skills and communication.
- Be available before, after school and during school times to monitor and assist students to re-engage and attend classes.
- Provide supervision of students through the facilitation of re-engagement in consultation with the Executive.
- Liason with Wellbeing Team, Attendance Officer and Exectuve to refer students to school support services staff and other personnel as required.
- Maintain quality in the performance of all duties, ensuring adherence to expectations, guidelines and procedures while continually seeking improvements in the way work is undertaken.

Mandatory requirements:
- In accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 a person is prohibited from working in regulated child-related employment unless the person holds a current Working with Children Check clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
