About our school: St Eugene College is a Catholic co-educational Prep-12 school located in Burpengary. In 2023, the college will have approximately 1450 students and a staff of approximately 150. About the role -
The School Officer - Teacher Aide is responsible for supporting classroom teachers to develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies for individual students or groups of students, to improve learning outcomes across learning areas or subjects.

Accountabilities

  • Assist with the delivery of learning and teaching programs including the use of technology and learning support activities.
  • Prepare learning support activities and organise the production of printed materials and resources for lesson activities or classroom displays ensuring items are returned to designated areas after the activities.
  • Ensure the condition of resources and materials are clean and safe to use and arrange the repair or replacement for any damaged item.
  • Supervise small groups and individual students, as requested, to assist with student learning outcomes and learning disabilities.
  • Document observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.

Qualifications
  • Current enrolment in Certificate III in Education Support would be highly regarded

  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
