Southern Cross Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 school offering families a co-educational pathway to life-long learning. The College was founded in 1995 following the amalgamation of the Catholic primary and secondary schools in the Moreton Bay Region. The multi-campus College operates as the principal Catholic College on the Redcliffe peninsula. We are seeking a caring and professional Student Receptionist, with excellent communication and time management skills, to join our Administrative School Officer Team and Academic Staff to support the students at Southern Cross Catholic College Scarborough.

Ideally the applicant will have experience in a Secondary College, particularly in a Student Services environment and knowledge of the Student Information System (eMinerva) would be an advantage.  The School Officer, Student Service shares responsibility for the administration of medication to students and takes an active role as the First Aide person across various school events. A current Advanced First Aid is essential along with the yearly completion of training in anaphylaxis, Epilepsy and Diabetes.

In this role you will be the first point of contact for students requiring administrative assistance and first aid. You will also be responsible for:

  • Recording attendance,
  • Processing late arrivals/early departures,
  • Answering the phone,
  • Maintaining stock of first aid kits and coordinating staff first aid training
  • Activity rolls for Camps and Excursions,
  • Complete WHS incident forms involving students as applicable
  • Maintenance and filing of confidential student records
  • Lost property
  • Student I/D cards
  • End of year and beginning of year processes
  • Provide back up for the College Receptionist
  • Other administrative duties as directed by the Principal and or/Business Manager to support the College.

Hold a current Working with Children Blue Card and First Aid Certificate
