St William's School is a Catholic Primary School in the north-western suburb of Keperra, Brisbane. We are a co-educational school catering to the academic, social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of all our students. Our current enrolment is 498 students from Prep to Year 6. St. William’s is set on a 4.5-hectare site, with a large oval, covered basketball court, huge hall and multiple playgrounds for different year levels and ages. All our classrooms are air-conditioned, with digital throw-down screens, and all classrooms are extremely well-resourced to help support the teaching and learning needs of our staff and students. We are a One-to-One iPad school, and this program starts in Year 2. We offer specialist subjects in Japanese, Digital and Design Technologies, Performing Arts and PE. About the role:
We are seeking three Part-Time, School Officers (Teacher Aides) to undertake a range of tasks in supporting the needs of students, under the direction of the teacher and support teacher, inclusive education.

Duties include:
  • general classroom support
  • using technology to support learning activities

The successful applicant is required to have:

  • previous experience as a Teacher Aide
  • it is desired that the individual holds a minimum of a Cert 3 in Educational Support
  • proven communication and interpersonal skills
  • an understanding of the work of a classroom
  • willingness to work as part of a team
  • you will also demonstrate an ability and initiative to apply your skills in supporting students to achieve successful learning outcomes
