St Ann’s School, Redbank Plains, is a Brisbane Catholic Education Primary School opened in January 2020. The school is located 35 minutes southwest of the Brisbane CBD between Ipswich and Springfield Lakes. Commencing in 2020 with approximately 100 students from Prep to Year 3, it is anticipated the school will grow to over 500 students by 2025, with Prep to Year 6.

St Ann’s School is seeking a dedicated Library Assistant to undertake various tasks within our school library. This role involves assisting with library activities and providing information services to students across all year levels, as well as to school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the loans desk, including handling student and staff loans/returns.
- Maintaining library equipment and materials, including book repairs and resource circulation.
- Providing administrative support, such as cataloguing, barcoding, stamping, spine labelling, and book covering.
- Assisting teachers and students with their library needs.
- Performing associated library tasks, including stocktaking, preparing for Book Club and Book Fair, and creating engaging themed displays.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Understanding of library or resource centre operations, with experience and knowledge in using technology.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with audio-visual equipment.
- Experience with a library operating system (OLIVER preferred).
