We are seeking a School Finance Officer with great attention to detail, who works calmly under pressure as they will need to work within a busy school office environment. Confidentiality and discretion are crucial attributes for the successful applicant along with an organised approach to work including time and priority management.

To succeed in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Initiative and attention to detail
  • Effective communication dealing with various stakeholders
  • Highly organised
  • Sound judgement, confidentiality and discretion
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • BCE finance system - Microsoft Dynamics D365 - experience advantageous but not essential

About the role -

This is a diverse role where you will have the platform to showcase your financial knowledge and organisational skills. The School Finance Officer is responsible for providing strategic advice and managing administration, financial matters and daily operations across the school. Working closely with the Finance team and other stakeholders you will provide high level support to deliver on operational targets.

The Finance Officer assists the School Leadership Team with a wide variety of financial and administrative functions to support the financial operations of the school.

Under the direction of the Principal, this position coordinates financial administration activities and provides support to ensure the school delivers on key reporting deadlines.

You will work closely with Support Accountants, School Leadership Administration Team, Staff, Parents and Suppliers.

Example of typical duties -

  • Management of all school financials
  • Billing and collection of school fees
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Cashier and banking duties
  • Data entry
  • Report preparation
  • General administration functions
