Balaclava State School is a Prep to Year 6 primary school located in the centre of Cairns. Our students are drawn primarily from the surrounding residential suburbs of the local area. We work to continually foster positive relationships with our families, local businesses, surrounding schools, clubs and professional associations. About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Work with the school community to develop, implement and monitor appropriate programs which raise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community awareness and participation in educational decision-making processes and which contribute to the implementation of Partnership Initiative priorities.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement to support community co-design that meet the needs of the school and community leaders and encourage partnerships with other regional, state, commonwealth and local government officers and local peak bodies.

A mandatory requirement of this role is:
