The Capability branch is in the State Schools Strategy Division. The Capability branch is committed to investing in professional expertise for a confident and professional workforce to deliver what matters for every student. A key function of the Capability branch is the Education Futures Institute (EFI) that delivers high-quality, targeted and evidence-informed capability development for a multi-disciplinary workforce.
About the role:
As the School Business Coach within the Education Futures Institute, you will work to deliver a coherent and system-wide approach to high quality, targeted capability development for school leaders and business managers.
Key functions of this role include:
- Collaborate with school leaders and business managers to provide targeted coaching and capability development to enhance school business and operational management practices.
- Provide specialised advice and high-level support matched to the context of each school and in line with system-identified priorities.
- Use evidence-based approaches to ensure coaching and capability development is supportive, job-embedded, collaborative and accessible across the state.
- Develop collaborative approaches with school leaders and business managers focussing on effective school business and operational management practices.

This role will report to the Director, Capability in North Queensland Region.
