Room Leader - Baby Room (Meawood, Leeds)
Are you an enthusiastic and passionate Early Years professional with over 3 years of experience in childcare? Do you have the leadership skills to inspire, motivate, and guide a team? If so, we want YOU to join our vibrant team as a Room Leader in our client's Baby Room at their setting in Meawood, Leeds.
As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in managing and guiding the Baby Room team, while creating an engaging, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-2 years. You will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of care and education are delivered, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and supporting the development and wellbeing of the children.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and support the team within the Baby Room to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Carry out staff supervisions and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure the team's professional development.
Develop and deliver high-quality planning, observations, and assessments in line with the EYFS.
Monitor and track children's progress and development, ensuring all milestones are met and encouraging children to reach their full potential.
Actively participate in manager meetings, contributing to the continuous improvement of the setting.
Build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring that the care and education provided is of the highest standard.
Implement safeguarding practices and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Lead by example and motivate your team to create a warm, caring, and inclusive environment where all children feel safe and valued.
Ensure that the environment is always well-resourced, clean, and welcoming for the children in your care.
About You:
You'll have at least 3 years of experience working within Early Years, with a deep understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
A Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years or Childcare is essential.
Experience in leading a team, managing performance, and conducting staff supervisions is highly desirable.
You'll be passionate, motivated, and proactive, with a real drive to provide the best care and education for young children.
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
Experience in planning, assessments, and observations, and the ability to track children's progress effectively.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their early learning journey.
