You will play a pivotal role in supporting the risk and compliance culture within Brisbane Catholic Education by contributing to the development and implementation of risk and compliance frameworks, projects and initiatives. You will also play a pivotal role in providing advice and developing resources to support Principals and the School Risk and Compliance Officer network. Travel to schools will be required as part of the role.

About the role:
  • Providing specialised risk management and compliance advice to support schools and the Brisbane Catholic Education Office.
  • Promotion of a strong culture of risk and compliance awareness
  • Developing and providing learning opportunities and resources to support the capability of staff to manage risks and meet compliance obligations.
  • Supporting the Risk and Compliance Team to deliver the risk and compliance program of work.

About you: To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
  • Qualifications in audit, risk, compliance, policy, governance or safety management or experience in a similar role
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build working relationships
  • Ability to influence and understand systems and processes
  • Ability to build a culture of risk and compliance
  • Organised and efficient with the ability to work autonomously
  • Possession of a current/valid Queensland Driver’s Licence as travel to some schools will be required
