As a Religious Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing students’ relationship with God while deepening their knowledge of Catholic beliefs, values, and practices. Guided by the CECG-approved Religious Education Curriculum, you will design engaging and meaningful learning experiences that promote spiritual and moral growth, encourage respect for others, and foster personal faith development. Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.
  • Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.

To teach Religious Education in a Catholic school (to be a Religious Education Teacher), a teacher must: 

  • Be Catholic; 
  • Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest; and 
  • Have completed or be due to complete Accreditation D – Teach Religious Education in a Catholic school in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
