Veritas Education are currently working with a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in the Dewsbury area who are seeking a committed Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities department. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or a strong ECT looking to develop their practice in a supportive environment.

About the Role

  • Teaching RE across KS3-KS4
  • Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
  • Contributing to a positive learning environment where all students feel valued
  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting student progress in line with school and DfE expectations
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Humanities team

  • A passionate and knowledgeable RE specialist
  • Someone with strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills
  • A teacher who can inspire curiosity and respect for different beliefs and cultures
  • A professional who upholds high standards in line with the DfE Teachers' Standards

    • Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching RE in UK secondary schools
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Strong references covering the last two years
