The Student Wellbeing Package will ensure every Queensland primary and secondary state school student has access to a wellbeing professional at school.
Your Role in the Whitsundays / Bowen Region:
The focus of the role is to provide support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns in Bowen and the Whitsunday region. Wellbeing professionals employed through the Student Wellbeing Package work as part of schools' established student support teams to enhance the wellbeing and mental health support available to students. This is a dynamic, school-based role and there are opportunities to provide services across four of the region's amazing schools.
As the Psychologist you will be able to:
- Provide professional support and information for students, parents, carers and school communities that facilitate partnerships in decision making for the enhancement of all students' learning.
- Provide services such as counselling, assessment and intervention, focusing on students' mental health and wellbeing.
