Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join a small dynamic team focused on supporting the implementation of improved educational performance and support for schools through project management, governance, communication and engagement activities for the Consent and Respectful Relationships Education (CRRE) project.

Responsibilities include:

  • support the CRRE Project Manager and a multi-disciplinary team by planning and undertaking project, administration, finance and budget activities in line with project objectives and timelines
  • prepare and analyse a range of data, reports, spreadsheets, planning and policy documentation and other written correspondence utilising a range of computer software packages, and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and reporting functions
  • assist in the review, development and implementation of initiatives, resources and training and systems for effective and efficient administration of departmental services such as communication strategies, parent and community engagement activities, collaborative school forums, governance arrangements, input from project area leads on implementation
  • sound governance to assist in management of implementation, identification of risks and issues, and monitoring and reporting progress towards outcomes
  • formulate timely advice on project related matters (in writing and orally) either as part of a team or autonomously
  • attend meetings and contribute to departmental committees and working groups with departmental officers to discuss, evaluate and revise systems and procedures for project oversight, monitoring and tracking implementation, and reporting on progress of implementation
  • provide a central contact and support role for the central office for the CRRE project team
  • develop and maintain good working relationships with other units and branches within the department, government agencies and all stakeholders involved in the project
  • contribute to the achievement of the high-quality work supported by the adherence and development of quality system documentation and information management
  • knowledge of or the ability to acquire knowledge of legislative and other parameters within which the project is to be undertaken, such as national and state government commitments related to the Department's delivery of respectful relationships education, and applicable child protection, domestic and family violence and education legislation, policies and procedures
  • apply high level of written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate in a clear, succinct and deliberate manner

  • Highly organised with the ability to work as part of a high functioning team, manage a high volume of work, meet timelines, maintain confidentiality, and work autonomously when required
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to produce documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated data collection, analysis and reporting skills
  • Previous experience or keen to learn more about project management and governance will be highly regarded
  • Understanding of, or experience in, education context
  • Adaptable, shows initiative and a keen problem solver who works towards finding effective solutions
