Your Role
The role of the AO5 Project Officer - (Editor) is to:
- Edit and proofread digital and print materials for accuracy, consistency and adherence to departmental style guides
- Contribute to the development of quality assurance standards and the ongoing evaluation of editorial, proofreading and e-publishing services
- Provide editorial and copyright advice to content owners
- Undertake operational tasks that support the delivery of departmental initiatives.
- Use effective time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks, liaise with stakeholders and meet deadlines while maintaining a high quality
About You
The ideal applicant will have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint (essential)
- Experience (or ability to quickly learn) editing in Adobe Creative Suite and other publishing software
- Knowledge of copyright and intellectual property in the context of educational publishing
- Good understanding of the requirements of editing educational materials
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
