Your Role:
As the Program Officer, you will:
- Contribute to the delivery of early childhood programs including funding program development and implementation as well as contract and performance management of funded services.
- Contribute to project teams in the implementation of strategic initiatives, and provide evidence based advice on operational planning and program performance.
The Program Officer reports to the Manager of the work unit.
Responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the management of programs, including management of the processing and payment of claims and the analysis of data and identification of trends.
- Maintain current operational policies, procedures, processes and systems, ensuring robust processes with appropriate internal controls and checks.
- Contribute to the delivery of programs and activities, including coordinating and supplying data to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective linkages with regional staff and other work areas to ensure policies and programs reflect the identified needs and issues, programs and services are delivered effectively and to ensure policies and program proposals are consistent with departmental objectives.
- Provide high level customer service and effective relationship management to clients and stakeholders to support the implementation of projects and programs.
