About the Role:
As the Principal, Reviews you will:
- Lead school reviews across Queensland State Schools to inform school and system improvement.
- Play a key role in the delivery of school-led reviews as part of validation teams.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Deliver school reviews, aligned to system priorities and initiatives, using evidence-based tools and methodologies. Conduct reviews in line with agreed methodologies and processes.
- As review chair, lead review teams, including the support and mentoring of peer and external reviewers.
- Capture high-quality evidence in review reports that generate insights to inform school, region and system decision making.
- Identify and share effective practice.
- Implement review approaches responsive to current and emerging system priorities.
- Develop a rapport and engage with a range of stakeholders including Principals, school leaders, teachers, school staff, students, parents and carers and community members.
Mandatory Requirements:
- You must be a permanent employee of the department with a substantive teaching or classified officer role employed under Teaching in State Education Award - State 2016, have current full registration as a teacher and should be aware that temporary internal moves for the purposes of the department's payroll processes are referred to as internal secondments.
- Employees' engaged temporarily as Education Officer - Special Duties have a requirement of 36¼ hours per week attendance and arrangements as outlined in clause 5.12 of the Department of Education State School Teachers' Certified Agreement 2022
- When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
