Within DoE the Department of Education International (DEi) through the International Student Programs delivers world class education opportunities to overseas students.

The Strategy and Performance team supports schools and overseas students through a variety of programs, policy and procedures and professional development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic advice to ISP state schools, ensuring alignment with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) legislative framework and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to strengthen student engagement and wellbeing.
  • Offer expert support to the Director, International Student Programs and ISP teams on strategic policy issues and projects.
  • Oversee the 1800 QSTUDY service, ensuring consistent 24/7 support for students and stakeholders, including urgent after-hours assistance and incident management.
  • Monitor and ensure that activities within the functional area adhere to divisional standards and expectations.

  • Demonstrated adaptability in managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills, with strong attention to detail.
