About the role:
As the Principal Project Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage the ICT Project Delivery and Support teams to engage with the business for the provision of ICT initiatives and projects and provide expertise relating to commencing or running ICT projects from a governance perspective.
- Work with the business at the ideation stage to ensure alignment between possibility and expectation through effective needs analysis, benefits expectations with defensible scope and budget estimation to deliver the business need and achieve successful business and project outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage significant, complex and varied ICT projects.
- Be accountable for project team delivery and performance, particularly in relation to schedule, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Manage and report on project risks, issues and budget in line with ICT Project Governance.
- Provide mentoring and coaching of project management techniques, methods and systems to identified business staff.
- Manage project executive and senior stakeholder expectations in relation to schedule, scope and benefits.
The following skills and experience will be highly regarded:
- Experience with Internet products and services (including satellite, NBN, Fibre, site installations).
- Understanding of wireless technologies and incorporated network infrastructures.
- Strong vendor engagement experience.
- Previous experience delivering projects in a complex large ICT environment.
