About the role:

As the Principal Program Officer, you will:

  • Assist in leading the development of a suite of early childhood initiatives supporting effective practices to optimise learning and development outcomes for children across early childhood.
  • Contribute to the development and management of strategic early childhood initiatives to increase the capacity of key stakeholders to support successful transitions and enhance continuity of learning and development for children.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the facilitation of connections between ECDP, Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services, approved kindergartens, schools, and other key stakeholders, to create strong and collaborative partnerships and enhance transition programs across the region.
  • Lead the development and delivery of a suite of capability development opportunities for ECDP teachers and leadership.
  • Lead the development and roll out of a Tailored Transition Guide to support educators and stakeholders to develop tailored transition-to-school programs that meets the needs of each child to transition positively and confidently to school.
