About this job

Position Information

Clarence Town Public School opened in 1849 and has successfully met the challenge of educating our students for 175 years. With a mix of multi-generational families and families new to the area as well as a range of socio-economic backgrounds we pride ourselves on our inclusive culture. We currently have 152 pupils attending, with approximately 15% of our students identifying as Aboriginal. Our school is located on the traditional lands of the Worimi people, and our school has active connections to the Youyoong AECG. Clarence Town Public School is supported through strong links within the educational community and are heavily engaged with the Dungog District Community of Schools and Hunter Principal Network.

Our school is well resourced for learning with access to integrated technology, a constantly growing Library, spacious hall, canteen and comfortable classrooms, which provide flexible learning spaces. We have generous space and inviting grounds where our students learn and play in a harmonious environment. These same resources are also utilised by a variety of community groups, through the NSW DoE Community Use of Facilities, including an onsite OOSH.

Clarence Town Public School has a focus on positive learning environments, underpinned by high expectations, explicit teaching, effective feedback and evidence-based teaching and learning.
