About Mareeba State High School
Mareeba State High School is a 7-12 secondary school with an enrolment of approximately 800 students. Mareeba State High School is located only a short drive away from the Cairns Central Business District.
Mareeba State High School's motto is "building a better future together" and is proud of its strong connection with the local community. The school is recognised for its community support in areas of mental health, along with the focus on sport, gifted and talented, the arts, trade training and outdoor pursuits.

The successful candidate will leverage the collective strengths of communities, families, culture and cross-agency collaboration to work together to improve the lives of young people in Mareeba.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Upholding the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
