About the School
Spinifex State College is a three-campus educational facility. Our Junior Campus caters to years 7-9, Senior Campus years 10-12 and the Residential Campus houses all boarding students. Our school aims to develop clever, skilled and creative learners. To achieve this aim, we provide students with access to quality curriculum programs and learning opportunities. Our support and readiness programs help students excel in tertiary education, while our connections with TAFE and industry support those transitioning to work or Vocational Education and Training.

Spinifex State College has an established Local Community Education Board (LCEB) which enables strong relationships with the traditional owners of the land, the Kalkadoon people. This group work in partnership with school leadership to foster co-design in strategic decision-making.

As Principal you will benefit from the Mount Isa Precinct initiative and the collaborative team of Mount Isa Principals who contribute to and are supported by this exciting initiative.
