About the School

Wilston State School is a large Prep-Year 6 primary school serving the communities of Wilston, Grange and Alderley. With an enrolment management plan in place, the school maintains a stable population, currently around 840 students.

The school has a strong focus on evidence-informed practice, with close monitoring of student data to ensure consistent learning growth each term. A well-established culture of feedback, collaboration and collective efficacy underpins teaching and learning, with staff working in partnership with families to ensure every student understands their goals and next steps for success.

About the Role

As the Principal, you will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

  • Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
