Annandale State School

Annandale State School is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Principal with a passion for providing quality supports in order to lead the school.

Annandale State School is a large school situated in the Townsville suburb of Annandale. The suburb is located on the southern approaches to Townsville with the Ross River to our North and Lavarack Barracks to our South.

Annandale State School is a large state primary school - prep to year 6, with approximately 700 students, in the heart of Annandale.

In 2016 Annandale State School was successful in its application to the Department of Education to become an Independent Public School after a significant community consultation process.

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
