About Us:
Situated some seven kilometres from the Bundaberg Central Business District, Woongarra is lucky enough to have a rural setting being almost completely surrounded by cane fields. Woongarra State School caters for Prep - Year 6 students. All classrooms are air-conditioned and our manicured grounds are evidence of the pride we have in Woongarra and being Woonies. Our school works in close partnerships with our neighbouring schools in the Coral Coast Cluster and especially with the closest high school, Kepnock State High School.
About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Provide values-based, ethical leadership to develop and sustain a shared educational vision that delivers high-quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just and inclusive practices across all aspects of school life, setting high expectations for student achievement and staff performance.
- Lead strategically with a future-focused approach, using data and planning to drive continuous school improvement.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant legislation and education policies, ensuring compliance and best practice in school operations.
- Manage school resources effectively and engage in ongoing professional learning while building strong partnerships with parents, community groups, industry, business, and government agencies.
