About this job

About Us:

Kelso State School is situated near Ross River Dam on the lands of the Wulgurukaba and Bindal peoples. The suburb is named for the couple Agnes and James Kelso who had large land holdings in the area from 1878. The land was used for farming and cattle grazing until in 1968 when a housing development was established at Condon.

At Kelso State School, we endeavour to create a successful and confident learning culture that is inclusive of all members of our school community. We value safety, responsibility and respect. Our music, sporting, social and emotional extra-curricular programs provide multiple opportunities for every student to reach their highest potential and reinforce our Kelso Proud culture.

Kelso State School is a well-resourced school with a modern library, science lab, computer lab and multipurpose hall. The spacious grounds are well maintained with shaded areas, trees and play equipment for all year levels.
