About the School

Goomeri State School caters for Prep to Year 10 students, with current enrolment numbers estimated to be around 130. Our school is situated in the relaxed rural town of Goomeri in the Gympie Regional Council district, approximately 76km west of Gympie, and 241 kilometres north-west of Brisbane. 

Our school takes pride in our endeavours to develop each student to their fullest potential, through numerous opportunities in academic, cultural, sporting and community pursuits. We actively encourage students to become responsible for their own actions and provide a supportive environment in which to learn.

About the Role

As the Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following:
