About the Role:
The Workforce Resourcing team delivers school-based staffing allocations across four models - Primary-Secondary (Pri-Sec), Schools of Distance Education (SDE), Students with disability - Reasonable adjustments resourcing (SWD-RAR) and Whole School Support - Student Learning Resources (WSS-SLR).

You will:

  • Undertake complex scenario modelling and advise on best fit staffing methodology in response to new policy initiatives and changing needs.
  • Supervise a team of two information analysts (AO6 and AO5) to maintain and update staffing models, tools and dashboards in accordance with approved methodology.
  • Coordinate the input of multiple sources of data from across the department to inform staffing models and associated analysis, including the annual Day 8/20 enrolment collections.
  • Prepare data reports and analysis and contribute to briefing notes, submissions and other documents as required.
  • Advise on the appropriate use of systems and data analytics for best practice workforce resourcing; identifying emerging trends and their impact on staffing allocation methodology.
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality assurance and data accuracy through technical oversight, peer review and continuous improvement.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders using effective communication and negotiation skills.

About You:

It would be high desirable to have the following skills and experience:

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL Server, Microsoft Excel and Power BI, preferably within the domain of resource allocations.
  • Ability to swiftly and accurately organise, utilise and analyse complex data to generate meaningful insights and support informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate technical complexity to non-technical audiences at all levels, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives.
  • A collaborative and adaptable professional who responds to changing requests and diverse stakeholder input with patience and flexibility, while confidently and respectfully holding firm on non-negotiable constraints.
