About the Role:

As the Principal Grants Officer, you will perform a leading role in the delivery of early childhood programs including contract and performance management, using effective and efficient administration of funding to early childhood education and care providers via the online grants management system.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify and provide advice on effective grants management, financial management, information and support for all units within the division.
  • Provide information on procedures, standards and practices to ensure the division's compliance with Government and departmental requirements.
  • Prepare timely, quality, complex and well researched documents including briefs and correspondence, reports, presentations and submissions for consideration by senior and executive management.
  • Provide authoritative and professional advice, analysis and guidance to the senior management team and other senior staff in relation to grants management, and financial position.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly reports and financial analysis to allow informed decision making.
