About the Role

The Principal Education Officer, Student Services will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting inclusive schooling practices across the Metropolitan South Region. This position involves providing strategic and operational advice to regional leaders and developing capacity-building systems to enhance the professional learning of specialist staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of inclusive schooling practices for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Providing strategic and operational advice to regional leaders on specialist regional services.
  • Developing and promoting capacity-building systems and programs to support inclusive education.
  • Establishing strategic partnerships with school communities, organisations, and government agencies to improve educational outcomes.
  • Preparing complex reports, submissions, and correspondence on sensitive issues across the region.
