About the Role:

As the Principal Education Officer, your role will include (but not be limited to):

  • Prioritising, coordinating and delivering direct-to-school support for individual students through the deployment of key members of the multi-disciplinary team and in alignment with student case management processes.
  • Providing high-level advice to principals and school leadership teams to maximise learning opportunities for every student.
  • Ensuring alignment of regional resources to areas of student and school support need within the Equity and Excellence priority areas.

About You:

  • The role suits an experienced Deputy Principal who is looking for a new professional experience or lens, someone who loves leading teams and helping team members build their capability, and who is committed to making a difference for students.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • You must be a permanent employee of the department with a substantive teaching or classified officer role employed under Teaching in State Education Award - State 2016, have current full registration as a teacher and should be aware that temporary internal moves for the purposes of the department's payroll processes are referred to as internal secondments.
  • Employees' engaged temporarily as Education Officer - Special Duties have a requirement of 36¼ hours per week attendance and arrangements as outlined in clause 5.12 of the Department of Education State School Teachers' Certified Agreement 2022.
  • When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
