About the Role

  • Lead operations of the Wellbeing and Guidance services including coordinating and supporting the provision of guidance and counselling services across Far North Queensland, ensuring the proactive and strategic implementation of the student learning and wellbeing framework and coordination of rapid responses to support schools.  
  • Management and support for Student Wellbeing and Guidance Services in the region including Principal Advisor, Mental Health, Senior Guidance Officers, Senior Advisors Psychology and Senior Advisors Social Work.  
  • Lead strategies that foster high quality collaboration, communication and information sharing to enable an understanding of the complexities and challenges that exist in the areas of mental health and wellbeing, family and student support, student protection and assisting students in achieving positive educational, developmental and lifelong learning outcomes.  
  • Lead implementation of project planning from data analysis through to reporting to senior regional staff.  
  • Experience consulting, collaborating and partnering with multidisciplinary and multiagency teams on shared priorities and outcomes is preferred.
