The Opportunity:
We're looking for an experienced communicator who can produce well-considered and accurate proactive and reactive stakeholder communications, identifying key and contentious issues.
You will take a lead role in our team - able to work within tight timeframes and with multiple stakeholders to promote the critical work of ISD.
With excellent writing skills, demonstrated experience in crafting corporate communications, the ability to manage stakeholder issues and a desire to form strong, productive working relationships, you won't be afraid to pitch in with your multi-disciplinary communications team when needed.
Your Role:
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and coordinate the dissemination of strategic information across the division, ensuring all stakeholders are able to contribute to strategic directions, policies and procedures.
- Manage the provision of high level research, analysis, advice, reports, submissions and executive support and identify and provide leadership on strategic issues.
- Manage quality assurance processes governing the provision of a range of executive services functions including the management of executive correspondence and policy coordination issues.
- Utilise effective time management practices and monitor, analyse and evaluate activities and work practices for the unit/division.
- Establish and maintain effective liaison, communication and collaboration processes across the division, department and government agencies to ensure effective coordination of executive documents.

- You have an ability to obtain and maintain confidence and support of internal and external stakeholders and peers by ensuring the delivery of professional, contemporary, accurate and responsive communications and stakeholder engagement advice, strategy and recommendations.
- You are effective working in a high-pressure environment, under tight deadlines and with limited resources.
- You are comfortable in providing internal consultancy and communications advice to executive members and teams to ensure the consistency of key messages are delivered in a format, style and tone appropriate to the situation and audience.
- You are experienced in developing corporate communications and engagement strategies to enhance and protect the reputation of the Department of Education and the Infrastructure Services Division with stakeholders and the public.
