Your Role:
As the Principal Advisor, Intensive Support, you will:
- Collaborate with regional and school teams to align and achieve strategic outcomes under Equity and Excellence.
- Build capability across the state in the use of evidence-based strategies to increase student engagement at school.
- Provide project planning and support to assist with the development and implementation of department strategic initiatives within Student Support, Behaviour.
- Provide high level strategic advice to senior officers of the department and other key stakeholders on issues relevant to the specific accountabilities of the role.
Responsibilities include:
As the Principal Advisor, Intensive Support, you will:
- Collaborate with regional experts and school staff to design high quality support plans for students.
- Identify the needs of regional and school staff and provide evidence-based training, coaching and resources to ensure best practice in service delivery.
- Lead and conduct specialised projects and innovative research activities, relating to the delivery and continuous improvement of services within schools.
- Design and Implement evaluation and monitoring processes which measure the impact of strategic initiatives to inform current and future agendas.
- Foster a challenging, equitable, ethical and safe work environment that encourages, professional growth and continuous improvement.
Highly desirable skills and experience
- Experience working in schools as a behaviour analyst, behaviour support practitioner or behaviour therapist
- Eligibility for registration as a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst
