About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and caring Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children and supporting their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support learning in the classroom across the primary curriculum
  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small intervention groups
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
  • Supervise pupils during break times and school activities when required

    • Requirements

  • Teaching Assistant qualifications are preferred (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 TA)
  • Experience working with primary‑aged children is desirable
  • A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
