Veritas Education are proud to be working exclusively with a supportive and welcoming Primary School in the Blackburn area. The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from January 2026 on a contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners who are committed to supporting pupils through their Key Stage 1 journey, with a focus on preparing them for the transition into Key Stage 2.

The Role

  • Full-time teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class.

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

  • Preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments.

  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

    • About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 is desirable (but not essential).
