KS2 Primary Teacher

Location: Wakefield Start Date: Easter Contract: Long-term (with potential for extension)

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Wakefield that is seeking a passionate and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator who thrives in Key Stage 2, enjoys delivering engaging and challenging lessons, and is eager to make a meaningful impact during these crucial years of pupils' academic development.

The Role

As a KS2 Primary Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver creative, engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum
  • Create a safe, positive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-year assessments and SATs (where applicable)
  • Differentiate learning to support all abilities, including SEND and higher-attaining pupils
  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents

    • The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Is confident delivering core subjects including Maths and English
  • Is enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to high-quality teaching
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and progression
