Veritas Education is recruiting a Year 5 Class Teacher for a primary school in Ramsbottom, starting in January 2027.

The position is initially for two terms, with the possibility of transferring onto a school contract for the right candidate. Applications are warmly welcomed from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a Year 5 class, deliver engaging lessons and help pupils develop the confidence, independence and skills they need as they progress through Key Stage 2.

The role

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum.

  • Adapt teaching to support and challenge pupils of all abilities.

  • Assess progress and use findings to inform future learning.

  • Create a positive classroom environment with clear routines and high expectations.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

    • We are looking for someone who has

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • A sound understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

  • An enthusiastic, creative approach to teaching.

  • Strong classroom management and a commitment to inclusion.

  • The ambition to help every pupil make progress and achieve their potential.
