We are seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Primary SEN school in Lambeth. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, nurturing, and experienced in supporting children with complex and varied needs in a specialist setting.
About the Role
As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and therapists to support pupils across the primary age range. You will help create a structured, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every child is supported to reach their individual potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with a wide range of SENSupport children with needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and learning disabilitiesAssist with the delivery of tailored lessons, sensory activities, and personalised learning programmesSupport pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social interactionPromote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, calm, and engaging classroom environmentAssist with personal care where required, in line with school policiesPrepare learning resources and contribute to EHCP targets and classroom planningBuild consistent, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and familiesWhat We're Looking For
