About the Role
Canberra Grammar School is seeking a vibrant, collaborative, and adaptive Primary School Teacher to join our Primary School community from Term 2, 2026, for a fixed-term contract.
The Primary Teacher at Canberra Grammar School plays a central role in shaping a vibrant, caring, and intellectually rich learning environment. About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
- An ACT teacher’s registration through the ACT TQI
- Expert knowledge of teaching, learning and curriculum
- The ability to use data-informed practice to impact student learning
- Strong understanding of holistic development of student wellbeing and classroom management
- The ability and willingness to work collaboratively with all CGS team members
- PYP experience or an understanding of Inquiry pedagogy
- The ability to reflect on professional practice, set goals and an openness to growth
- Competent use of a range of digital tools to support learning, teaching and administrative processes
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the full life of an Independent school and a willingness to engage in School activities out of regular hours.
All team members at CGS are required to have:
- A relevant tertiary degree and teaching qualification
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- A current National Police Check
- Full working rights within Australia
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
