We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Ripon area who are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Teaching Assistant to join them after half term. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs, including autism, behavioural needs, and SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health).

???? The Roles

As an SEN Support member of staff, you will be involved in:

  • 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs
  • Small-group interventions to help pupils progress academically and socially
  • Behaviour and SEMH support, ensuring pupils feel safe, encouraged, and understood
  • Supporting pupils with autism, communication needs, and sensory regulation
  • Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support plans
  • Helping create a positive, nurturing learning environment for all pupils

    • ⏰ Hours & Availability

  • Full-time 5 days a week, 8:30-15:30

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or otherwise)
  • A caring, resilient and proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • A passion for helping children reach their full potential
  • (Desirable) Experience with autism, sensory needs, SEMH, or behaviour support
